garrulously | Where Ivan truly achieves his life goals

"It is something I should grow accustomed to." Even if it makes his cheeks turn a shade more red. The image of his LSPT undressing him with the same care he handled all aspects of their relationship was a pleasant one. Would his date even compare if they got that far?

Ivan nods, and settles back into his seat, still with his arms around David. "We'll do that then," he says, one ear trained on his door for a knock or some other sign that it had been delivered to his office. "Do you have any questions for me about this?" He knows the other man has to have some, and he is there to answer and support him through all of this.

"Is it uncomfortable?" he asks, resting firmly against Ivan. If they're not moving, then David isn't ruining this first. "I was worried it would be. I've never..." He shrugs helplessly. He's only be with women and never involved any extra toys.

"At first." Ivan sees no reason to lie, not to a patient and not about this. "But women and hermaphrodites would say the same thing about being penetrated vaginally, and yet that doesn't stop them from having sex that way regularly." Maybe not the most comforting thing to hear, but Ivan hopes it will do more to help him than hinder.

Shrugging, he lets his head rest on top of David's. "While my focus is going to be your enjoyment, I can't prevent any uncomfortableness that might happen -- but I need you to tell me if it hurts or you want me to stop."

No, it doesn't fill him with confidence, but he appreciates the honesty. He'd rather know what to expect than have them get started and the surprise make things far worse. For a moment, David closes his eyes and simply enjoys the feel of Ivan holding and resting over him. It's strange how right with the Nexus he feels when they're like this.

"I'll let you know. I do want to enjoy this." And he thinks he would like it far more than what he's done previous given how their sessions have gone.

"I'm glad. I will do anything I can to make sure it's as comfortable as possible," Ivan confirms, and bites back the temptation to turn his head and press a kiss to the top of David's head. Instead he stays like that, until there's a knock on his office door that forces him to get up and answer it, thanking the other quickly before returning.

Inspecting the toy in its packaging, Ivan hums thoughtfully. "This should work really well. Good choice."

David nods and is reluctant to let Ivan go when the other man needs to answer the door. So much for that lasting longer though he's sure his LSPT will indulge him afterwards if he requests it. He knows where they need to go next and he stands, awkwardly eyeing the partition that blocks off the section of the bedroom

"Thank you, I followed your recommendations. How should we start?"

"Well first," he gestures with the box, leading David back to that part of the room as he does so, "we get this out of the packaging so we don't have to fumble with it later." That takes only a few seconds, and Ivan gestures for David to stand by the bed while he finishes gathering the supplies that they need and setting them on the bedside table.

And then, turning back to David, he gives the other man a warm grin. "Do I have your permission to kiss you? Because I have an idea how to start that involves that. But don't worry -- we can do this without that. All you have to do is be receptive and tell me what you do and don't like."

Already they've it farther with the toy than David has on his own time. He's eyeing everything Ivan gathers as he stands off to the side of the bed. Should he be undressing? Or anything? Good god, he's never done this with a woman much less a man before.

He's thankful when Ivan cuts into his nervous thoughts. "Yes, I'd like that," he admits. "I think kissing would help me relax." Which is what he desperately needs to do if they're to continue.

"Alright," Ivan says, before reaching out to pull the other man into a warm embrace, one hand settling on his chest while the other slides into his hair. "Remember -- all you have to do is tell me to stop." Which is the only thing he says before kissing him, warm and inviting and with no small amount of skill. He doesn't demand anything from the other man with the kiss, coaxing David's lips open with his own before deepening it with his tongue.

At the same time he's distracting him with a kiss, his hand is busy -- pushing off the tweed jacket, fingers already going to work on the button down.

Oh thank god the man was taking the indicative. Not that David suspected anything else, but it's easier for him to react than start.

A small sound of want is pressed into the kiss as he shyly allows the man's tongue to wander. Every damn session he finds himself cursing whatever had made him miss out on this for so long. He returns the kiss, nowhere near as skillful but eager, and let's his jacket fall to the floor.

That's a damn good sign, and Ivan has to bite back the urge to make it more intense. He doesn't want to scare the other man into running all the way back to Komarr. No, this is just to get him relaxed. He focuses on that, hands smoothing over his clothes while continuing to kiss, and when he eventually has to break it in order to breathe, he refocuses on kissing the corner of his mouth, along the jaw.

Once he's sure the other man is relaxed and distracted enough not to mind anything else, Ivan focuses on undoing the buttons on his shirt with one hand. If there's one thing he can say about doing things like that and undoing bra clasps with one hand, it's that most people are impressed. And, for some reason, he wants David to be impressed.

Being with Ivan gives him the confidence he didn't think he had. Academics, politics, even business he felt at home navigating, the social complexities that plagued him on Komarr. When it came to actually being with someone... That's where everything became muddled for him. Being with Ivan felt natural in a way and part of David wonders if it's from the man himself or finally acknowledging his sexuality.

He's relaxed and closes his eyes, letting Ivan take over. His hands slide up the man's sides as he grips at the fabric of Ivan's shirt. This feels natural and he's too focused on the feel of Ivan's lips to be impressed by the man's one-handed undressing.

The things he does, David, that go unnoticed.

Still, Ivan can feel the man relaxing under his hands, against him, and when he unbuttons the shirt and slides it off the other man, it's with a small sound of contentment and encouragement. Just like this, David, he thinks, running a hand down the other man's now-bare chest. He likes David, personally -- the other man might be all the things Betans find attractive wrapped up in a package handed to him by his profession, but he's capable of good conversation and intelligent.

Ivan steers him back towards the bed ever-so-slowly, again trying not to spook the man too much. He's doing great so far, why risk it?

There's a slight shiver as Ivan's hand roams and he moves back willingly, trusting the other man to stop him before he falls on top of the mattress. This part David enjoys, the feel of their bodies pressed together, and Ivan's hands on his bar skin. What's going to come after...

David decides not to focus on that, instead putting his that flit of nervous energy into kissing as his fingers run through Ivan's hair. Everything would be fine, Ivan knew exactly what he was doing.

Ivan does stop him just before he falls, and while he needs David to lie down on it, that can wait for a moment. Instead he enjoys the feeling of someone's hands in his hair, kissing him eagerly rather than the demanding he normally gets from his clients who think they have the right to him just because they're in his office.

When he has to break apart to pull enough away to get to work on David's pants, he gives the other man an encouraging smile. "You're doing fine," he offers, pressing another kiss at the hinge of his jaw, dragging his fingers across the front of his trousers. Just because.

His fingers curl in the man's hair and he lets himself get lost in the feel of Ivan's lips. Yes, coming to Beta Colony had been a good idea, no matter how things shake out back on Komarr. His hands remain right where they are when Ivan pulls back. The comment causes him to smile shyly as he rests his head on the other man's and trails one hand down.

"Thank you. I don't think this would be going well with anyone else," he admits and if Ivan doesn't need both hands to remove his pants, then David will try to take one in his for a reassuring squeeze. He can do this with Ivan here to help.

He does not, in fact, need both hands to strip David out of his pants, and returns the squeeze with one of his own -- reassuring and encouraging. Once Ivan's got them down to his knees, he gestures at the bed with his free hand. "You can lie on your back or on your stomach, it doesn't matter. Whichever you're most comfortable with."

"I'll stay on my back. I prefer being able to see you." If only so he can have a better look at the man and see what's happening. Perhaps it will make his nerves worse in the moment, but one glance at Ivan's encouraging expression tells him it's the right choice. He keeps a tight hold on Ivan's hand as he shimmies out of the rest of his clothing and lays back, tugging the man with him.

Ivan goes with him rather than attempting to protest that he needed to focus on what they agreed on; propping himself up on his elbows above David is no issue, especially not when it means he can kiss the other man again. David's undressed, but relaxation could still be an issue. He's here to prevent that.

One of his hands skims down David's chest, fingertips lightly brushing the length of the other man -- not teasing, just testing for overall responsiveness. It won't do to have him not enjoy this, or be in a state of mind not to.

His arms wrap loosely around Ivan and he focuses on the feel of his lips. Idly his fingers press into the muscles on Ivan's upper back. Truth be told, he'd be content to do this the entire session or so he thinks until he feels the man's fingers brush against him.

A small sound of pleasure is muffled against Ivan's lips as he shifts, rocking his hips up toward the touch.

That's exactly what he wants to hear from the other man. Encouraged, Ivan wraps his hand around him to stroke gently -- setting the pace he'll use later, once they've moved on from this. He wants David to be in the right mindset to enjoy this, the right one to relax. He won't do anything he isn't used to until he's sure they can proceed.

And also, he really just likes hearing David like this.

It's strange how freeing it feels to be with Ivan like this. For the first time in David's life, he's concerned about the present moment and not some future he has to have meticulously planned out. There's only him and Ivan and he wonders if this is how it's supposed to feel when he's with a partner. It's a feeling he wishes he could bottle to take back with him to Komarr.

His eyes remained closed as he focuses on the feeling of Ivan's hand, his kissing turning more sloppy the longer he strokes. Slow and steady and with a care David appreciates from the man. His fingertips press firmly into the man's back and he continues to mouth his pleasure against the other man's lips, only rocking his hips upwards when he can't hold himself back any longer.

Eventually Ivan has to pull back, kissing the corner of David's mouth in a hasty apology. But the other man is ready, the way he's moving into Ivan's hand and the sounds he's making. "Alright, David."

It's something he's done countless times before in the course of his job, but Ivan can't shake the feeling of difference to this, but he soldiers past it as any true LSPT would. Instead he shuffles himself down to kneel between David's legs, one hand going to grab the supples and keep them next to him on the bed. He doesn't, again, go straight to the point -- instead his hands massage David's inner thighs, trying to make him as relaxed as possible.

"Do you still want me to do this?"

He frowns slightly as Ivan pulls back. The contact is missed immediately and once the man is back towards him, he rests a hand on Ivan's wrist. An anchor, to let David know that the man is here and with him. The massaging helps and his eyes remain fixed on Ivan's rather than what the man is about to do.

"Yes, I do. I'll tell you if I change my mind," he adds before his LSPT reminds him he can say no at any time to stop this. It's a feeling of control he's not used to having in his life and this is the one space he truly needs it.
