David shrugs and leans lightly into Ivan's touch. "I'm not used to people caring that much about my appearance." The stares he gets while walking around Beta Colony still feel strange to him. His clothing clearly marks him as 'foreigner' as do his comparatively plain earrings.
"Do you think I should try wearing them out?" he asks with some hesitation.
"I'm glad I brought a pair then," he murmurs. Who knew they'd be a crowd pleaser on Beta Colony of all places. "I'll... give them a try next time I'm out."
"I will, don't worry. I do plan to attend my next session." Unlike his sudden skipping out last time. Which reminds him, "Ah -- how much time do we have remaining in this one?"
"Hm?" Asks Ivan, who has completely lost track of time. He pulls it up, and practically winces. They'd gone over into his next appointment -- and while that man doesn't take long, he still feels bad about it. Well, not that bad, he'd much rather spend more time with David than his next client.
Right, well. "None, I'm afraid. We went a little over." Maybe he could just... block off some extra time at the end of his sessions for this. It's a thought to consider, anyway.
"Oh." He pulls away immediately to stand. Shit, he hadn't realized he'd been here that long. Time spent with Ivan had hardly seemed to pass at all for him. "I didn't mean to keep you. If you need to bill more for the extra time, I understand."
Because if there's one thing a Komarran understands, it's making even with financial obligations.
"What?" Ivan seems shocked at the idea, and waves it away. "It's fine. Really, David." More than fine, actually. He wouldn't be opposed to more sessions running over with the other man.
"If you're sure." He frowns lightly and glances towards the door. Judging by his session still standing today, David assumes nothing else has changed, but he asks just in case, "Same time then?"
"Same time. I'll see you then," he responds with a wave, and mentally schedules an empty half an hour after David's sessions. Can he do that? He's going to try.
