A couch, of course, and then non-overhead lighting that cast a more welcoming light over the area as well as better for reading on the couch. He's about to start hanging the photographs from the Solstice historical society he had prints made out of what is supposed to be nice, historical scenes from both pre-Barrayar and post-Barrayar Komarr -- non-offensive, of course, he checked -- when he hears the door open.
